Pain is temporary and joy is permanent.

Pain is always of the outside or on the surface of consciousness. It is like a shell covering what you are. When you decide, at some point in your incarnations, that you are more than what you have been led to believe you are, you begin you journey (the journey began when you were caste off, but somewhere along the line you need to remember it).

At some time then you begin to remember who you are. You will enter a teaching that will help you find the source of your being. The source can be likened to joy - after all, joy is a word and it has a different meaning for everyone. Joy though simply says, "I remember who I am, I have always been, and I will always be". Notice when you are in that state of feeling, you transcend your pains. You no longer care if you have a headache, or if your feet are hurting. Notice also that actually feel less pain when you are in joy.

We will suggest that you ask for joy, or something that you find to be an equivlant. Something that says to you, "I will always be, I have always been".
